It is one of the unique vessel in the world which is capable of operating in both ways i.e horizontally and vertically.Vessel contains fresh water tank with capacity to store 1500 gallons of water.It is able to provide accommodation for 11 researchers and 5 crew members for upto 30 days or month.FLIP vessel completed or reached the milestone of 50years in 2012.
